With age, eyebrows tend to descend and droop which may worsen sagging of the upper eyelids. This, with a receding hairline often makes the forehead appear broader and less attractive.
Treatment information
A Brow lift can be considered in isolation or with the upper eyelid surgery depending on the aesthetics of the eyelids, brows and forehead.
The procedure is usually performed under a general anaesthetic, although local anaesthetic with sedation may also be used.
There are two methods that may be adopted for the procedure. In the first procedure (coronal lift), incisions are made along the top of the forehead, usually behind the hairline. In the second, less invasive endoscopic procedure, small incisions are made at the top of the forehead just behind the hairline, through which endoscopes and other fine instruments are inserted to remove the muscles that produce frown lines and to elevate the forehead and the brow.

Why consider brow lift surgery
Benefits of this surgery
The forehead lift improves the aesthetic of the forehead and restores the forehead and the brow to a more youthful, natural position. This change also helps in reducing the skin excess in the upper eyelids.
Consultation
Professor D’Souza puts a lot of emphasis on the importance of the consultation process to ensure a successful outcome. The skin and structure of the forehead and eye area will be examined and discussed. Both mental and emotional attitudes will also be considered because a realistic approach is crucial.
Am I a suitable candidate?
Brow lift may be performed in both men and women with realistic expectations and good health as these are essential for a successful surgical outcome.
