Well qualified surgeons are invited to hone their facial plastics skills under the guidance of Professor D’Souza, in London or virtually.
I couldn’t be more grateful for Bella Vou, after years of research, I felt so comfortable in Amir’s hands, he is more than just a doctor. Can’t thank you all enough!!

Professor Alwyn D’Souza

Professor D’Souza is known as a great communicator and dedicated teacher with a calm and patient style. The esteem with which he is regarded by colleagues and students is reflected the leadership role he currently holds as EAFPS president.
His uncommon skill with difficult facial plastic surgery cases, as well as his ongoing research and publication record make him ideally suited to train other surgeons.

Professor D’Souza offers a comprehensive fellowship programme for suitably qualified surgeons. This is a hands on fellowship with plenty of surgical opportunities to hone your skills in procedures which include, but are not limited to, primary and secondary rhinoplasty surgery, pinnaplasty, facelift and neck lift, forehead lift, brow lift, blepharoplasty, facial skin cancer excision and reconstruction. You will also be exposed to non-surgical procedures.
Research and publication work are an intrinsic part of the training programme, and you will be expected to publish at least two papers in peer-reviewed journals during the time in fellowship.
Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC UK), is essential to start the fellowship. Training is offered for a period of 9-12 months under the auspices of the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (EAFPS). Fellows are expected to sit the board examinations in London or Washington DC on completion of their fellowship, following which they may be eligible for board certification.
Interested candidates may apply for the fellowship through EAFPS.org. For information on the fellowship you may contact my office directly.
Please note that all direct (not through the EAFPS route) applications are processed two years in advance because of the high number of applicants.
Masterclasses
Semi-live masterclasses with Professor D’Souza are offered virtually throughout the year, allowing interested surgeons from around the world an opportunity to learn from him. You may register for future masterclasses or view past sessions through EAFPS.org.
Observership programme
Lasting 1 – 3 months, this programme offers the opportunity to informally observe surgeries and does not provide any qualification. It is organised and administered by the International Federation of Facial Plastic Surgery Societies (IFFPSS).
